Exit NMoQ (National Museum of Qatar) Metro Station at Exit 1 Al Hitmi.

After you exit NMoQ Metro Station at Exit 1, turn left and walk towards the flyover.

Cross the road at Al Sharq Interchange towards Muglina Park (Umm Ghuwailina Park)

Please be extremely careful crossing this road.

After you enter Muglina Unit Park walk across the wooden bridge and head towards the water (The Corniche).

Continue to walk towards the marina with the NMoQ on your left.

Walk out onto the jetty to take some great photos of the marina towards the NMoQ. Then backtrack and begin walking around the Corniche.

There are plenty of photo opportunities as you walk towards the Fish Market

Walk through the Fish Market, then past Halul Cafe and head towards Flag Plaza

Halul Cafe appears to have shutdown. Some people say that it’s because it’s closed for renovations. As of July 2025 it’s still there. But who knows it may not be there by the time to take this walk.

Walk past Flag Plaza towards Al Riwaq Gallery.

Cross the road and head towards the enormous screen displaying advertising.

Please note that this map shows me walking to the right, and walking some distance before crossing the road. This is because I intended to enter the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park through a gate at this point. But unfortunately the gate was locked. And so I walked back down the road and then walked in front of the large screen.

Arrive at the Museum of Islamic Art

On this walk I didn’t walk up the ramp to the museum. I only went as far as the Metrolink bus stop

Use the M315 Metrolink bus to ride back to the NMoQ Metro Station (Buses run every 12 minuets)

The Metrolink is a free service. But you will need a Metro Card (or day ticket) to use it. These can be obtained in any Metro Station.
