Grab your camera and walk with me from The Museum of Islamic Art to the Mina District
Directions
Walk out of the main gates of the Museum of Islamic Art and turn left.
Walk towards the large advertising screen
Cross the road at Al Riwaq Gallery and turn left to walk towards the Mina District on Al Meena Street
Please be extremely careful crossing this road.
You will be able to see Flag Plaza on your right
Walk past the ‘Old Doha Port’ sign towards Box Park
When you reach Box Park turn left and very carefully cross the road.
Halul Cafe appears to have shutdown. Some people say that it’s because it’s closed for renovations. As of July 2025 it’s still there. But who knows it may not be there by the time to take this walk.
At this time (July 2025) there is a construction site opposite Box Park. This is going to be a model village. In this image you can just make out one of the miniature buildings in the distance.
Walk towards those lovely pastel coloured buildings, and turn left following the waters edge at the end of the boardwalk.
On this walk I didn’t walk up the ramp to the museum. I only went as far as the Metrolink bus stop
Arrive at Chabrat Al Mina
Chabrat Al Mina, Fish Market and Restaurant.
