People are asking why I’m so quiet at the moment. To my complete surprise, people are telling me that they would actually like to hear me right now.
But the truth is I have the same information about how things are progressing as you do.
I have Al Jazeera on in the background at all times, and I’m monitoring official social media channels the same as you are.
I simply don’t think there’s any value in me repeating what you’ve already heard.
However I do have a couple of things I’d like to mention.
Firstly for goodness sake listen to what the authorities here in Qatar are saying.
Stay away from debris that has fallen from intercepted missiles.
Stop filming damage because I’m assuming they don’t want information like this to be available to bad actors, and stop posting or reporting anything that hasn’t come from an official Qatari authority.
Even with repeated requests by officials for people to stop doing these things, it seems people simply can’t help themselves, and they continue to do so.
There have been repeated warnings that you can get into serious trouble by doing these things so please stop doing them immediately.
Also I’m fed up of coming across entitled influencers who feel inconvenienced by the crisis. If I could reach out across the internet and slap you I would.
Be patient and be grateful for all the efforts people are putting into solving your problems right now.
With all the suffering going on how dare you moan about your trivial circumstances. Shut up and stop whining, you are making yourself look pathetic.
And lastly I want to thank everyone especially those putting their lives in danger to protect us.
And those who selflessly continue to look after us and our wellbeing, across all sectors. In both Public and private institutions.
Qatar is my home, Qatar is where I want to be, and Qatar is where I’m going to stay. And if there’s absolutely anything I can give this great country to help right now, I’d volunteer without a second thought.
Thank you for making it to the end of my post, stay safe, and try and do your best to keep calm and carry on.
