If you find yourself between flights in Qatar, and are wondering if you have time to get to a shopping mall and back using the metro. Here are the timings to help you out.

Firstly it will take you 7 minuets to walk from the information desk in the arrivals area of Hamad International Airport (HIA) to the airport metro station. You will need to buy an all day travel card at the metro station for 6 Qatar Riyals (Less than 2 USD). Head down to the platforms where there is a train every 12 minuets. First train runs at 5am, and the last train is at 1am (Correct as of July 2025). Please ensure you check running times at a Metro Station or by clicking here: First and Last Train Timings

For City Center Mall you stay on the Red Line all the way to ‘DECC‘ Metro Station with no changes. On arrival at DECC it’s just a short walk across a pedestrian bridge into the mall.

For Villaggio Mall you need to change at Msheireb Metro Station from the Red Line to the Gold Line heading towards ‘Al Aziziyah‘ which is the last stop on the Gold Line. Villaggio Mall is located next to the Al Aziziyah Metro Station. Just walk across the car park and you’re there.

For Mall of Qatar you will also need to change at Msheireb Metro Station, but this time you change to the Green Line heading towards ‘Mall of Qatar‘ which is the last stop on the Green Line.
